Folding Guard Designs a New Universal Door, Allowing Various Modular Configurations to Take Form

Chicago, IL March 2023 – Folding Guard has designed a Modular Door System for machine guarding and warehouse environments. The universal door allows the flexibility to adjust doors in the field without requiring a costly upgrade. The innovative design grants the ability to convert the operation to lock-left, lock-right, swing-in or swing-out. All modifications made utilize the same core door with available hardware kits. The Modular Door is now available.

 

The inventive new Modular hinge/sliding door frames are constructed of 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¼ inches, 14-gauge angle on all four sides (full frame). Door heights are available up to 8 feet. The unique design has factory provided knockouts and hole spacing on the angle frame allowing the door frame to be configured for lock-left, lock-right, swing-in or swing-out, in conjunction with optional lock sets. 

 

The Modular Door is offered with a medium gloss black powder coat finish. A wide array of locksets are available, including Cylinder Lock, Snap Lock, Padlock Hasp, Electric Strike, Lever Handle, Push Bar, Paddle, and Keypad. Additional standard options are available.
